Like whiskey, or a fine pinot noir, we make select batch motion decoys. You may ask, weren't you boys making these here in the US? The answer is yes. We love the U.S. of A and are bald eagle loving bleed red, white, & blue patriots. With the original intention of being a "Made in the USA" brand, but then plagued by unprecedented demand, it just doesn't make economic sense. Providing a motion duck decoy that met our quality standards, produced in an efficient manner, and at a price that made sense for both us and the consumer, forced us to hop, skip, and boogey our production across the pond.
We've selected special factories that specialize in producing electronic consumer goods (like our rechargeable duck decoys) but also practice environmentally conscious operations, production methods, and fair trade practices. Through this partnership, it has allowed us to, one—keep up with the unprecedented demand—and two, make drastic improvements in our product functionality, durability, and overall performance in the field that we would not have been able to do otherwise in tight timeframes.
It certainly hurts us to send something so valuable to us across the pond, however, it is deemed necessary for company growth and the end goal of making our customers & customers' dogs satisfied. We might just have these two SKUs for right now, but we can assure you that there are more innovative duck hunting products on the way.
That being said, it doesn’t mean we’ve lost the itch to Mister Miyagi it and paint some decoys ourselves. We’ll still be hand-painting limited batches of motion duck decoys here in the U.S.released at random, unscheduled times, and in true Jahpoo fashion.
