Jahpoo is a Texas-based startup creating next-gen motion duck decoys. We’re a small, tight-knit team of outdoor professionals, expanding into retail and D2C and developing innovative products across the Waterfowl, Turkey, and Deer categories. We’re looking for someone who will own the customer experience end to end and help build the foundation for a fast-growing brand.
The CX Manager owns how customers experience Jahpoo—from the first DM to a warranty claim to the way a product feels coming out of the box and being used in the field. You’ll be the in-house product expert, the voice customers talk to, and the person who turns what they tell us into better user guides, packaging, and products. You’ll also lay down the customer-service infrastructure a growing company needs—the tools, the metrics, and the policies—across both our wholesale and direct-to-consumer programs.
Above all, we’re looking for a team player and go-getter who wants to build this channel out from the ground up in a startup environment—someone who takes initiative, owns problems, and is willing to go above and beyond.
- Manage the general customer outreach inbox as the first point of contact.
- Field and respond to social media comments and inbound DMs.
- Be available 9–5 to take customer calls.
- Respond to inbound customer inquiries immediately, then follow up independently until the issue is resolved.
- Fix the customer’s issue quickly, guiding them from point A to point B and making them happy start to finish.
- Answer questions intelligently and methodically, drawing on deep product knowledge.
- Handle pre-sale questions to turn support into sales.
- Maintain long-term relationships with customers across D2C and wholesale.
- Become the in-house product expert and know how every Jahpoo product works in the field.
- Assist in writing clear, easy-to-follow user guides and setup instructions.
- Contribute insight to packaging design to improve unboxing and setup.
- Feed customer learnings back into product development.
- Document inquiries and problems to build a knowledge base and spot trends early.
- Build and maintain a help center / FAQ so customers can self-serve.
- Process order changes, cancellations, and address corrections.
- Track down lost or damaged shipments and coordinate resolutions with carriers.
- Work with the warehouse to make customers whole quickly when something goes wrong.
- Own CX metrics: response time, resolution time, CSAT, and review ratings.
- Solicit and respond to reviews across Google, Amazon, and Trustpilot in Jahpoo’s voice.
- Run post-purchase retention and win-back flows to drive repeat orders.
- Set up and manage Gorgias, Loop Returns, Dyrect, and Rebuy.
- Work day-to-day in Shopify.
- Draft Jahpoo’s warranty and return policies and own their day-to-day execution.
- Own warranty and service intake, servicing, warranties, and repairs.
- Lay down the customer-experience infrastructure for a growing company.
- Manage communication with the warehouse and hold partners accountable for accurate, on-time fulfillment.
- Attend trade shows around the US.
- Comfortably drive a 7×14 enclosed trailer and lift 50 lbs for booth and product loading/unloading.
- Past experience in customer experience, customer service, or retail.
- Experience handling phone and email communication.
- Familiar with both wholesale and D2C programs.
- Comfortable in Shopify and CX tools, or a fast learner.
- Timely, clear, empathetic communicator with ownership and attention to detail.
- Quick-thinking, adaptable, and solution-driven with strong problem-solving capability.
- Go-getter who takes initiative and wants to help build a startup.
- People person and team player with leadership experience.
- Understanding of customer experience trends and brand storytelling is a plus.
- College degree preferred.
- Loves to duck hunt.
- Professional and comfortable working in-office and remote.
- Located in or near Austin, TX preferred.
Open role 02 Fractional CFO LocationRemote EngagementFractional / part-time CompensationHourly or monthly retainer Reports toFounder & CEO
Jahpoo is a Texas-based startup creating next-gen motion duck decoys. We’re a small, tight-knit team of outdoor professionals, expanding into retail and D2C and developing innovative products across the Waterfowl, Turkey, and Deer categories. We’re looking for a finance leader who knows the CPG hardware world and can be a true partner as we scale through a pivotal growth season.
The Fractional CFO is Jahpoo’s financial right hand. You’ll own the model, the forecasting, and the cash-and-inventory decisions that keep a seasonal, inventory-heavy hardware business healthy. We need someone who learns the business cold—who knows its numbers like the back of their hand—and can translate complex models into clear decisions for the founder. This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves fractional seat, not a once-a-quarter advisor.
- Build and operate complex financial models.
- Update the financial model on a weekly/biweekly basis.
- Lead demand forecasting for a seasonal business.
- Budget and forecast inventory.
- Run scenario planning, such as landing big-box accounts or managing a delayed container.
- Own cash flow management and maintain a rolling 13-week cash forecast.
- Track runway and flag cash crunches before they hit.
- Manage banking, line-of-credit, and inventory-financing relationships.
- Assist in inventory purchasing and financing decisions.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting.
- Own accounts payable.
- Own accounts receivable and collections across wholesale and big-box terms.
- Coordinate with the CPA on tax, multi-state sales tax, and entity/annual compliance reporting.
- Track COGS, gross margin by product, and landed cost per unit, including offshore manufacturing.
- Build and maintain a KPI dashboard and monthly reporting package for the founder and investors.
- Build investor materials and manage the data room.
- Maintain the cap table and support the next raise as applicable.
- Learn the ins and outs of the business and keep a sharp eye on the details.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support as needs arise.
- Act as a go-getter partner genuinely invested in helping a startup grow.
- Proven experience as a fractional CFO.
- Familiarity with CPG hardware companies, offshore manufacturing, and seasonal businesses.
- Strong command of complex financial modeling.
- Comfortable with Shopify, Triple Whale, Ramp, and QuickBooks Online.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Self-directed go-getter who wants to help build a startup.
- Knowledge of the hunting space: Turkey, Deer, and Duck products.
- Loves to hunt.

Jahpoo is a Texas-based startup creating next-gen motion duck decoys. We’re a small, tight-knit team of outdoor professionals, expanding into retail, working with large-scale manufacturers, and developing innovative products across the Waterfowl, Turkey, and Deer categories. We’re looking for a sales leader who’s well connected in the industry and ready to help build the Jahpoo brand during a pivotal growth season.
The Sales Director owns Jahpoo’s wholesale growth and the number that comes with it. Our goal this year is to grow from 26 to 250 accounts, including 3 big-box accounts—you own that target. You’ll stand up our wholesale channel from the ground up, recruiting and managing a rep network, building relationships with buyers and buy groups, and shaping the pricing and retail programs that put Jahpoo on shelves across the country. We need someone who already knows this world, has the relationships to open doors, and the hustle to turn them into orders.
- Own revenue and account-growth targets.
- Forecast wholesale demand by season and feed those numbers to finance for inventory planning.
- Stand up and manage the CRM, track leads and pipeline, and report status to leadership.
- Enforce MAP and set discount guardrails so wholesale doesn’t undercut D2C.
- Assist finance/accounting in collecting invoices and payment of sales reps.
- Recruit, onboard, and set up Jahpoo sales reps.
- Manage a team of reps weekly, keeping them equipped and accountable.
- Stand up the Jahpoo wholesale channel from the ground up.
- Aid in setting up and launching Jahpoo’s Amazon sales channel.
- Equip reps with line sheets, catalogs, product training, and clear wholesale terms and MOQs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with product buyers across the industry.
- Work national territory accounts and specialty stores nationwide.
- Build and maintain strong standing with Buy Group boards.
- Work major industry trade shows to meet buyers and open accounts.
- Support Jahpoo’s expansion into the Canadian market.
- Create retail pricing programs that work for Jahpoo and its partners.
- Help create marketing materials and in-store displays for retail.
- Partner with the marketing team to drive demand at the account level.
- Proven wholesale sales experience with a credible company.
- Familiarity with EDI, Big Box, Buy Groups, wholesale, and distributors.
- Deep industry knowledge of specialty stores across the US.
- Well connected among industry players and product buyers.
- Experience managing a rep team and national territory accounts.
- Track record owning a revenue target and managing a sales pipeline in a CRM.
- Comfortable with sales forecasting and working trade shows.
- Willing and able to travel; expenses covered.
- Self-directed, organized, and excited to help scale a growing startup.
